Zipper on the top, because I do throw my bag about. A pocket on the outside, to pop my phone in. It is deep enough to fit my myriad of stuff, including my wee tape measure, which I always carry, and my iPad mini. The only thing I would change, and this is just a personal thing… the tassel on the outside… I’d rather have the clip attached on a piece of leather, on the inside, so I could attach my keys, and easily find them. I LOVE this purse!
