Superb!

Superb! Love the feel, the weight and the look of this belt.

I was a little worried at first about the measuring scheme to choose the correct size but it worked out perfectly - enough notches on either side of my preferred notch to accommodate life's expansions and contractions.

Confused

I measured my belt at 37” and it is actually 45”.
Why is that? I’m at the last hole at 35” when it’s on and I have 10”hanging out?

In an age where disposable means profitable, Popov takes a different approach. I have not been able to find a belt of this quality since my 2013 carharrt belt, but the vanguard seems even better. When you wear work pants everyday on steel construction they take a beating. other “work belts” have delaminated on me in months, this belt looks the same (with the exception of couple patina scratches you’d expect) as the day I put it on two months ago.

Unsurpassed Quality - Sizing Runs Tight

I purchased two 1½-inch Vanguard leather belts—one Black and one English Tan—and the craftsmanship immediately stood out. The leather is soft, authentic, and substantial without feeling overly stiff. The solid brass buckles have a reassuring weight that speaks to durability, and the polished stitched perimeter gives the belts a refined finish that elevates any casual outfit.

My only concern is the sizing. Following Popov's recommendation, I ordered two inches larger than my normal pant waist size. While the belts do fit, I'm using the last adjustment hole rather than landing near the middle of the range as I expected. If you're between sizes or prefer more adjustment room, you may want to consider sizing up an additional inch.

Overall, the quality is exceptional, and these are among the finest leather belts I've owned.

Very good thick leather

Very good thick leather. Good hardware and finishing with stitching that gives it a nice touch. The dye is good and after 6 weeks of constant wear starts to show a bit of nice patina. The smell of leather is still noticeable and I like it.
